Session 10 - Approaches, Conversations, and the Five Senses

Fight, flight, or freeze are common reactions to how caregivers approach persons with dementia. This session explores the pitfalls of a variety of mistakes in how caregivers approach persons in their care. Caregivers will also learn how brain damage affects the senses and how this damage can affect the way persons with dementia respond to others and the environment.
